Once again, the Sierra Sunrise Rotary club in partnership with Brad Ditton and the Ditton 21 Century Realty folks will be producing the sixth Annual Run for the Gold Classic Car Show. This event will be held Friday night, September 5th at the Oakhurst Lodge (come join us for a sneak preview of the cars and a famous Rotary BBQ pre-sale tickets encouraged $15.00 each and a DJ playing great oldies music
   Last year, the Sierra Sunrise Rotary Club proudly donated over $20,000 to our local elementary schools. This totals over $100,000 in the last five years with your support we can do even better in 2008.
In addition to our Friday night activities, on Saturday, September 6th, in the community park, we have many other activities planned for your enjoyment. Once in the park the gazebo and Rotary building built by that “other” club will be surrounded by non-profit food vendors and over 175 of the nicest street rods and classic cars from as far away as Redding and the south coast.
   Saturday’s festivities for your enjoyment include a pancake breakfast, beginning at 7:00am, in the park prepared by the North Fork Lions Club that we know will be scrumptious, huge and yet fairly priced. The annual library book sale, antique engine demonstrations, craft vendors, food court, numerous raffles, including a 350 Chevy crate engine and an auto related swap meet are also happening.
